The school will be focused on the technologies behind single dish radio astronomy and radio science,
with particular emphasis on antenna optics, receiver and transmitter design, active and passive microwave detectors devices,
radar systems, antenna controls and software, back-end architectures, rfi mitigation techniques, instrument testing and calibration and
Lectures and hands on activities are planned at the Parco Tecnologico della Sardegna (Sardinia's Technological Park) near Pula (CA), from June 11 to 16, 2012.
Participants will also visit the Sardinia Radio Telescope. Students from abroad can apply for financial grants to cover travel cost.
